SUMMARY:

The Automation Developer collaborates with business units across the organization to design and develop automated solutions, facilitate increased business efficiency, and optimize the cost of operations. This position will support the other automation efforts within the team purview.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Discover and analyze automation opportunities, define automation value propositions, perform feasibility and performance assessments, outline any risks and recommend optimal processes and solutions.
Work in an Agile environment to elicit, record and analyze Business Requirements; convert Business Requirements to System Requirements and User Stories ensuring requirements are actionable, measurable, testable, traceable and satisfy the needs of both Business and IT stakeholders.
Design/develop/test robotic process automation applications according to best practices and conforming to requirements.
Define, promote, and utilize best practices for RPA capabilities.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for others seeking to utilize RPA technologies to automate and streamline existing manual business processes.
Prepare and present analysis, methods, and results to non-expert personnel, management team, and technical experts throughout different projects.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, computer engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience equal to four (4) years.

EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of software/application development experience. Experience in delivering RPA solutions preferred. Experience with one or more RPA Technologies such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism is a plus.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint; excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project. Demonstrated experience with statistical packages, operations research and modeling software.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including the ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of, a team. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of and ability to conduct need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments. Knowledge of applicable computer software, operating systems and standard programming languages, concepts, practices and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to design and develop various forms of software and/or applications using a variety of information technology tools and resources. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
