GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
An Accounts Payable Clerk ensures all payments are recorded correctly and completed in a timely manner. They follow up with vendors, providers and carriers, request credits or submit disputes when needed. The AP clerk responsibilities include coordinating with vendors and different departments to ensure all bills and orders are accurately entered, create vendors and complete follow ups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and record bills from vendors.
Analyze reports to determine bills to pay and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Verifying with other departments that information received is accurate.
Reconcile reports received against payments to complete.
Communicating with other departments, resolving issues, and providing clarifications.
Record bills under correct accounts.
Preparing reports and meeting deadlines.
Accurately preparing and maintain accounting documents.
Payroll experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Studies related to accounting, finance, or another similar field
Previous experience in the finance or accounting area or a similar role
Proficient English, Spoken and written (85-95%)
Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Experience working in Bill.com, QuickBooks or other accounting software (desirable)
Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting (Ideal)
